REDIRECT: Immigration Law and Perspectives

Dec 6, 2019

This week on Redirect: Immigration Law & Perspectives, Matthew and I are joined by Bridget Cambria and Adriana Zambrano. We talk about what is supposed to happen when unaccompanied children are detained at the border. We also talk about what happened to Carlos Gregorio Hernandez Vasquez, a 16-year-old Guatemalan migrant who died in Border Patrol custody.

Video of Carlos's death was recently published by ProPublica and it calls into question the narrative provided by Border Patrol. It also exposes the harsh and inhumane treatment endured not just by Carlos, but by many other children like him.
